"Nicolle is such an amazing artist and person! The
first time I worked with her, she made me feel so
comfortable. She has this positive energy just
radiating all around her! I feel incredibly fortunate
to have had the opportunity to become her friend
as well. Nicolle takes the time to get to know her
clients and tailor her work to each person. She has
mad skills and is truly one the most kind-hearted
people I have ever met!"

" Immediately upon seeing Gemma, and the work
that went into her outfit, Angela and I were feeling
tremendous pride in our late, brave son. We were
so honored that you created such a striking
remembrance. Our emotions ran rampant from
smiles to tears. Nicolle, you represented our son in
a profound and unique manner. You made a
tremendous impact on both Angela and I; we thank
you for that!!
We also had (2) of the Marines along with us that
served shoulder to shoulder with Mike Jr. in battle
- they were nearly speechless at the sexy, female
depiction of their fallen comrade, in a beautiful,
stunning representation…those two boys had THE
time of their lives!
We felt so privileged to get know you both, you
are a truly an outstandingly talented person! How
can we say THANK YOU a million times??
With Deep Admiration, "

NICOLLE DANAE LANDRE --Extraordinary Make-up Artist
Nicolle Landre was born in 1969, in Santa Cruz, California, and
attended schools in Salinas and Modesto. She began her career as a
licensed manicurist and has built her varied experience since then.
She has four children aged from three and a half to twenty-one.
Among other jobs in the field of make-up, she has worked as a regional
artist for Prescriptive Cosmetics, an Estee Lauder Company in
the San Francisco Bay Area and in Southern California. She attended
theater make-up classes with Anne Shanto at Modesto Junior College
where she was soon asked to be the head stage make-up artist for many
productions under Arts and Humanities dean Mike Sundquist. Her
credits
include Picasso and the Lapin Agile, Into the Woods, Shakespeare,
Comedia del Arte, Anthony and Cleopatra, and many others.
At about that same time Nicolle began working with the California
Highway Patrol under the direction of Officer Tom Killian and with
local fire departments at area high schools on the Every Fifteen
Minutes program. She uses a variety of techniques to recreate the
massive injuries caused by auto accidents. The program has been very
effective in reducing drunk driving in teenagers. She will be
participating again for her fifth year. Her work has been shown in
posters for the program which have been used statewide. She is often
asked to return to schools where she has worked before. In similar
work for St. Joseph’s Catholic Church she did moulage for a Stations of
the Cross presentation which included Jesus’ crucifixion wounds.
In addition she has served as a volunteer for the Wall of Hope
program
for cancer survivors, as a face painter at baseball games and
children’s parties, and for corporate events. She has donated time as
a manicurist for the terminally ill, and even provided mortuary make-up
for a personal situation. She has since worked for Modesto Police
Department, Washington Mutual, Stanislaus County office of
Education, and many others.
Nicolle has done body art for photography, print, calendars and
“pregnant belly” art. Three years ago she began body painting at
charity fundraisers held at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills. She
has now done several events, hand painting swim suits, lingerie and
other costumes on young women and she is scheduled to do several more
in the coming year.
2001 Playmate of the Year and event organizer Brande Roderick
says, “Nicolle's body paintings are a work of art. She goes above and
beyond what is asked of her. She has done all my major Hollywood
parties including the world famous Playboy Mansion, and people are
continuously stunned at how amazing her body paintings are.”
Nicolle Landre is a versatile, talented artist who goes beyond the
ordinary limits of everyday make-up. She is experienced in a wide
variety of media and styles from the fabulous to the grotesque, from
the practical to the theatrical. She is professional and easygoing
while working with a variety of people. Her possibilities in the
world of make-up are limitless.
